yes you can, but most of the games will give you little to no lag like this. Ive found that a direct connection with lag switch will give you no time. For me at least. id suggest connecting modem to router then router to system and putting the switch in between the modem and router. If you don't have a router then i would suggest getting net tools to lag. There should be a write up on this site to set up net tools for lagging.
