So if you are into the PS3 jailbreaking scene, you might know of the console ID stealer going around the internet, where it will steal any currently online ps3's console ID. This is what we can use against Sony.

Call them up, give them whatever info, and tell them you received an email saying that you were banned because of hardware/software modifications, which breaks the terms of service.

They will confirm it, say there is nothing to do about it, and this is where hardcore persuasion comes in.

Tell them that you are indeed on OFW, and have been forever, (make it sound more convincing than this thread does), and tell them that you read online of a console ID stealer, that can get any random ps3 banned without the original owner doing anything wrong.

Make it sound convincing as fuck, I cannot stress that enough, you have to make those bastards feel bad.

If the rep doesn't budge, ask to speak to a manager, or supervisor, I don't know how high up you can get, but eventually they will probably give in before anyone seriously gets in trouble.

Lets hope that if this was convincing enough, they will make a one time exception, and unban your console. And if they don't then you could always go as far to threaten to sue for the rights to your console, because you have been loyal to the TOS the whole time and they are wrongly accusing you.


This is a very rough theory, but I have been banned for a year and have been thinking of ways to get unbanned. Anyone here is welcome to try.

Might not work, the stealer can only steal the Current console cid (the ps3 must also be on dex) and im sure sony knows how it works. But worth a try to anyone wanting tot set it

NOBODY can steal your CID over PSN! Please people, realize this and stop spreading these rumors. Your OFW PS3 lacks the administrative rights to access/send your CID to another designation other than Sony's Servers. Now please stop this non-sense.

Sony probably has no idea of how the CID stealer even works, which is why you could attempt to use it against them.

And if you even read it, I said nothing about stealing it over PSN either.

OMG, are you serious right now? Not only has this thread been done before, it has been proven ridiculous many, many times. Look I'm sorry about the misunderstanding about the ConID banning tactics BUT you did say 'Console ID stealer' not 'Console ID randomizer', you did show me adult intellectual conversation can't happen with you, no you simply go straight for the -neg but whatever, I harbor no caring for such matters.

Now for the facts, the odds of randomly guessing a legit ConID is around 1 in 2.00*10^13 which astronomical, and Sony knows this. The WILL NOT unban a console simply because you yell at them. You modded, got banned. Many have, including me, it is their service they did for free and you broke their rules. They can do whatever the fuck they want within reason, of course.

Anyway I expect another -neg, and to you I say have fun. But maybe try your idea out instead of asking others to see if works.

ps. cid stealer works only if you are on dex and use some tools thats connect to targetmanager..its not work on cex and ofw..
we can make a eboot thats contain a cid stealer but this is only poc at this time..

I don't care about the odds of randomly generating a CID or stealing one. I don't care how possible it actually is. THIS IS A THEORY THAT USES PERSUASION...that means you are trying to convince them that someone did steal your CID (regardless of the possibility because Sony more than likely doesn't care how possible it is or not)...

This was a complete failure....I'll should have just stuck to putting this on a social engineering site...because they understand persuasion and don't come at me with BS statistics that don't have shit to do with the theory working or not.
