(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); hey this tut will show you how to remove your ps3 face plate and get any blu ray game , or dvd out. [WARNING] this voids the warranty

First thing you will want to do is remove the warranty sticker on the bottom of the ps3 just above the hdd slot.

You must login or register to view this content.

There will be a stopper after the warranty sticker . Remove it , then take out the screw to remove the faceplate they will have => those symbols pointing at them

You must login or register to view this content.

ok after you have removed the face plate it will look lit this

You must login or register to view this content.

ok once all the screws are removed the ps3 case will split in half

You must login or register to view this content.

watch the silver line thing make sure you dont split it

ok now you see the silver box on the left as if you were facing the ps3 head on, Thats the blu ray drive remove all the screws from the box. Then remove the box

After you have removed the box you will see this disc drive simply remove all 5 screws surrondin it. It will come free and the top will pop up
You must login or register to view this content.

After you have taken the the screws out just lift the top of the blu ray drive. Be gental its has alot of wires arround it.

You must login or register to view this content.

It should look like this. Just simply take the blu ray disc out and your done . all there is to do now is screw everything back lol

I did this in November, my 2 year old son ended up depositing 1 dime, 2 nickles & 3 penny's into my disc slot. before in knew I was wondering why my cod4 game wouldn't eject. Although I was able to play the game and I called Sony for a warrenty repair. Instead of sending the system to them and waiting for it to be sent back to me would have taken about 2 weeks. I got cod5 the same day I called Sony, so I went to home depot and bought a 12.00 security toke bit just to open my system up for me and withdrew 23 cents(was hopping for a quarter instead) and a 50.00 game(with no scratches). Was it worth the hassel to do this instead of sending the machine to playstation for repairs? Hell Ya it was worth it. I was able to place the warrenty sticker back in place without any indications of tampering. Nice tutorial though.
