(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I was messing around with my MW2 gamesave earlier and i accidently stubled across this nifty trick and thought i would share it with you guys

So here is what my current MW2 gamesave looks like, but the only problem is it will not actually save onto the HDD so it is only novelty really


It is rather big XD


So first off get a gamesave off of your ps3 and open it up, for MW2 just go to PS3 > SAVEDATA > BLES/BLUS.....>

Open up PARAM.SFO with your hex editor and take a peak inside. It is VERY important that you do not add or take away even a single byte away from this file otherwise your data is corrupt.

Nearer the top you will see the part that will be found at the bottom of the gamesave, which is usually the copyright. Just change that to anything you want, i changed mine to C 007 Jimfinity Ward Inc.

Right down the bottom you will see the point where it has a short description of what the save contain, e.g. 'Save game and player profile' so i changed mine to 'I do indeed love potatoes ' and a bit further down you will see the title of the game, easy peasy, just change that too. And there you have it, the text will be different.

To change the picture, where you have ICON0 in your gamesave folder, just open that up with photoshop or paint or something similar and tear it up After you have done that, save it and you should be ready to go!

Plug your memory stick back into your ps3 and there you have it! A custom save! The only thing is you can't save it to your HDD but i'm working on that

Also if you have corrupted your data at this point, you have added too many characters to the PARAM file

This is not new. I have been doing this for brothers game saves since they first got their ps3.

But good job on finding this. Plus Fraz has been doing this WAY earlier and he even changes the music.

Yeah i read your TuT a while back and you edited the music and image, i pushed it to the next level and edited the copyright and game name/description :p

ye very simple , skipped past it as well , its in plain english when you look at the save.
