Post: [How To]: Backup A Disc To A External Hard Drive or Internal Hard Drive. (CFW ONLY)

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey Guys, Fallen Here and today im going to show you how to backup a disc to the ps3 hard drive or an external hard drive.



HDD Tutorial ( Scroll down for External tut )

*Note* Takes up space on your HDD so be carful how much stuff you back up.

Step 1) Enter the disc you want to back up

Step 2) Enter multiMAN or PSITA Manager

Step 3) Scroll down to the game that you entered

Step 4) hit triangle and hit copy

Step 5) Select HDD

Step 6) Let it copy

Step 7) After done coping hit triangle over the game that says HDD and select game settings

Step Cool Man (aka Tustin) in game settings select BD Mirror and Internal

Step 9) Exit out of game settings

Step 10) Go into Filezilla and go into dev_HDD0 > GAMES > (whatever game you copied) (Ex. BO2) > PS3_UPDATE go into that folder, and delete PS3UPDAT.PUP

Step 11) Ok were done in Filezilla, now in multiMAN click on the game, it should bring you to the XMB

Step 12) Click on the disc were app home was, and boom your good to go Smile Message FallenHoster if any questionsSmile


External Hard drive or USB

Step 1) Format your External Hard drive with ( You must login or register to view this content. )

Step 2) After Formatting plug into right USB port on your CFW

Step 3) Enter the disc you want to back up

Step 4) Enter multiMAN or PSITA Manager

Step 5) Scroll down to the game that you entered

Step 6) hit triangle and hit copy

Step 7) Select USB0

Step Cool Man (aka Tustin) Let it copy

Step 9) After done coping hit triangle over the game that says USB and select game settings

Step 10) in game settings select BD Mirror and External

Step 11) Exit out of game settings

Step 12) Go into Filezilla and go into dev_usb0 > GAMES > (whatever game you copied) (Ex. BO2) > PS3_UPDATE go into that folder, and delete PS3UPDAT.PUP

Step 13) Ok were done in Filezilla, now in multiMAN click on the game, it should bring you to the XMB

Step 14) Click on the disc were app home was, and boom your good to go Smile

you should always delete the PS3UPDAT folder from all games, if the ofw is newer than your cfw, when you run the game, you might accidently update your cfw to ofw, then say goodbye to cfw unless you have the hardware to downgrade

So as long as I'm using a spoofer to the latest version I shall be fine right ?!
But since deleting the file doesn't affect running or playing the game, why the hell not to delete it !! To stay far away from troubles !!!
Just one more question, How is it done to update the fw from a game backup ?! How can this occur for example ?!

it might ask you to update when you run the game

No dont update just look for a pkg update(latest) on whatever game .
