DO NOT EXTRACT OR RENAME THE FOLDER THAT YOU DOWNLOAD, DRAG IT ON THE USB AS A .ZIP FILE!!
1. Go on multiman and go to settings, then go to the bottom and find and enable the write access to dev_flash option.
2. Go to the file manger and open your usb.
3. Find the folder called PS3~dev_blind.zip and double click it.
4. It will ask "Do want to overwrite the files?" click yes.
5. Reboot and you're spoofed.

Go into ita manager and restore original IDPS, have to do that every time you start up your Playstation after converting to dex,

Hi i was on cex and spoofed to 4.66 and was playing online. But then i thought id move to dex on 4.50 ita and use your spoofer. I followed all your instructions when i use the spoofer it shows that im on 4.66 but when i sign it psn it shows an error i am not banned as it was working on cex this morning before i chang3d it to dex. Please help anyonee

please help i copied the zip to my usb and went into multiman and went to enable dev flash then went to mmos and into usb001 and then double clicked the dev4.55 zip and restarted my ps3 and now all it does is turn on and then nothing but black screen and then power light goes red like its off but its still on and the blue disc eject light is on. but i have tried to restart it many times but it wont do anything different than the black screen and off with the green power light but still running until i press power button off ???? Please help. would safe mode help if there is one how do i get to it ?? or is there a fix for this problem im having. i was on 4.50 and i downloaded the 4.55 zip i prey my system is not ruined because of this method of spoofing. please advise me how to fix

Just re-install your CFW through the recovery menu(safe mode) as it will overwrite your corrupted flash.

Hi SyGnUs, I'm at the safe mode menu now, I have my usb in with PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP on it and I have selected 6.SystemUpdate, but nothing happens. I have tried it in both usb slots.??? Anymore suggestions ????? Last night I did a 4.Rebuild Database and tried to do a 2.Restore Default Settings but it took all night and didnt seem to do anything I waited 9 hours. ????? Why did this happen and please do you know how to fix the 6.System Restore not working ???"?? My ps3 was working perfectly till i tried to do this Flash~Dev_Blind update now its ruined my sony ??? IT SEEMS LIKE NONE OF THE OPTIONS IN THE SAFEMODE WORK NOW please help

It seems like you have soft bricked your console. I had the same problem as I downloaded the wrong spoof as well. Make sure you put the CFW you were on into your USB (PS3ITA 4.50 or PS3ITA 4.55). Then, plug it into the RIGHT USB slot of your PS3. Then go to system update and press Start and Select. It should detect the firmware and start updating. If it doesn't try this, reformat your USB to FAT32 and make the folders again. PS3 ---> UPDATE ----> PS3UPDAT.PUP (This is VERY IMPORTANT so make sure you do that right).

I don't think you should have reset your PS3, but you have to install the same firmware you were on and put it in the right most port. Try that and see what happens. If not try another USB that is FAT32. You may try another CFW like a Rebug D-REX version and see if it picks that up.

when I download, all I get is a regular folder called "vsh" with two folders inside of it: "etc" and "module." There is no .zip or .pkg --- not sure what to do here?
