Wanted to hear different individuals opinions on what bugs/annoys you the most about the custom firmware scene.
Can be anything from mod tools crashing,sony's new software updates,console bricks or anything related in this scene.
The most annoying thing about this scene would have to be....
all the annoying phone calls I receive constantly from morning to night and all hours of the morning with ( majority under the age of 15 ) stating,how to mod online,how to activate a spoofer,how to apply eboots to game updates...etc etc
I am a game console specialist by trade,so I do sell the occasional Cfw consoles,but these constant harassing phone calls bugs me big time!!! Even though I do state before selling the consoles " I do not distribute games or assist people with illegal modding online,the individual must venture of on there own if they want to mod online or pirate games " .....yet they still bug the sh** out of me!!!

The secrecy of how offsets are found. Doesn't help when learning.
When asking you get told... Google is your friend.
Some community spirit that is. Google brings you back to this site. I'm scared to ask any more questions.

The most annoying parts for me is getting spammed by little kids who want to get mods. I also hate it when other people with a custom firmware go around acting their better than anyone else saying things like "Im a better modder cuz I got the revolution mod menu".

- People keeping stuff to themselves and selling their tools.
- Kids begging for account modding, modded lobbies and stuff like that.
- Activision investing in a legal team to get our stuff deleted from youtube and file sharing websites instead of investing in programmers that will make their game more difficult to mod for us.
- Tools that look identical to others if it wasn't of the design of the tool itself. It's way too repetitive..
- The community itself, it's filled with a bunch of kids that doesn't want to learn and keep asking for 'offsets'. The solution is simple, learn PowerPC, read about quake's engine then start asking for help else you will be lost.

Thanks. And I know your only trying to help. But in Ida for a different game if you don't have the string to look for how do you know what to type in?
If I asked someone exactly how they found a certain mod would they tell? Or keep it a secret and only allow you to use the tool they made. Finding offsets using their tool is frowned upon.
I have read the tutorials you have referenced to. It's a good starting point but doesn't go past beginners stage.
