Here is a tut to go back to cex if you have lost ur flashes
this is working as i have done it before

Step 1
download 3.55 DEX downgrader and install it from recovery menu

Step 2
Install CFW 3.55 DEX With Retail Patched CoreOS after you have finished installing 3.55 downgrader

Step 3
Now you have to install memdump via pkg file
once installed open it press X and it will dump the flash on your usb drive

Step 4
Now you need to dump ur eid_root_key
Install eEID_RKDumper.pkg
Download:You must login or register to view this content.
Once downloaded run it and it will then black screen (no GUI) and restart the console automatically
Copy and paste the eid_root_key to your USB it should be in one of these locations.

/dev_hdd0/tmp/eid_root_key or
/dev_hdd0/game/FLTZ00010/USRDIR


Step 5
Ok now you can update to any rebug cfw like 4.46 but it has to be D-REX or ITA once you have dumped your flash...
Dont update to the latest rebug cfw 4.65.2

Step 6
First download You must login or register to view this content.
Extract it to your C drive and install openSSL once installed rename the folder to "openssl".
Rename your DEX Flash(flash_store_3.500) to "flashDEX" and eid_root_key to eid0 and Then copy both the file in c2d Folder

Now your folder should look like this

Open a CMD window in the current directory (CTRL+SHIFT + right click > Open a command window here)
and paste this into it and press enter

    c2d.exe eid_root_key.bin flashDEX.bin flashCEX.bin 89

Your last number could be different here is a table showing you which one to put

now your flashCEX should be in the folder

Step 7
Rename "flashCEX" to "my.CEX.EID0.NORBIN (nor Consoles)/myCEX.EID0.NANDBIN (Nand Consoles)"

Step 8
copy my.CEX.EID0.NORBIN (nor Consoles)/myCEX.EID0.NANDBIN (Nand Consoles) to USB Device and Connect it to your PS3
open multiman > mmOS then double click myCEX.EID0.NANDBIN /myCEX.EID0.NORBIN in USB Device and Choose yes>yes>yes
go to XMB and Turn off your Console with Controller
now Turn on your Console.

Step 9

Your are now finished install any CEX cfw that you want and make sure toggle QA is enabled

if you then want to go back to dex make sure to keep ur dex flash

No matter what I do, I always get this at the CMD part:

EID key : 48 bytes (eid_root_key.bin)
Wrong format of EID key file: 16777216 bytes (16MB) expected, but 251396096 found!

im also froze on the black screen at this step

Also stuck at this step i get a black screen when i start eid dumper and my ps3 doesnt restart

this is because you need to be on CFW 3.55 DEX With Retail Patched CoreOS

FOR ANYONE GETTING A BLACK SCREEN AT THE EID_ROOT_KEY PART:

Make sure you are on the 3.55 DEX With Retail Patched CoreOS and use the 3.55 version of the EID Root Key Dumper

NICE!, put in a warning for noobs like myself, to not leave a disc inside the PS3 while the update, almost had a heart attack!!

how can i help when im still stuck on rebug 4.46.1 and when i try to use the eid rk dumper my ps3 just freezes on the black screen m8 if someone can help me with finishing mine ill gladly help you m8
