This tutorial is for the people who want to mod their backups on OFW.

These CID's are spoofed to work on PeXploit.

These CID's will NOT work on CFW

1) Copy savedata from PS3 to USB

2)Connect USB To Computer

3) Open the savedata folder

4. OPEN Param.sfo via HxD Editor
(download link in description)

5. copy line UNDER "TITLE TITLE"

6. Exit HxD, Open HxD paste new info

7. Save as idps.bin

8. now you can mod your backups on 4.70

9. copy it to pexploit folder then install pkg's to your backup

PeXploit reads it as normal cid

remember this is not real console id but this will work for 4.70 people looking to mod their backups

Pointless tutorial fake idps

The title is misleading, the OP is talking about PeXploit blocking you from progressing if you don't supply the idps.bin
EDIT: But you don't need to boost your posts if you don't know what the use of this is or repeat what someone else said.

So what you do is enter some random numbers and letters, call it idps.bin, and bob's your uncle.
This simply grants you access to the unprotected part of the backup, with can store up to 400GB.
You will not get access to the protected part of the backup. You need the real cid for that.

TheDarkProgrammer is working on a lite version, where you don't need to supply your idps.bin.
This is just a simple workaround, which has been known to people for weeks.
So people who accidentally updated to OFW 4.70 can still use the exploit by doing this.
