(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi NGU
I have recently started modding ps3 cases with LED's adding custom lighting and mods to the consoles and want to share how easy it is to do yourself at home.

Tools:
Jigsaw with plastic/pvc small size cutting blades, 10-20cm of 12v led lighting strips £1.00 for 5cm from maplin and ebay come in all colours, double sided tape, electrical tape, 2 small cable connector boxes and a drill.

Instructions:
Unscrew lid from PS3 carefully removing all screws until you have your top case. Using the jigsaw and drill cut the desired pattern out of the top case carefully (most cut the ps3 logo out).
Once you have your desired case design using the double sided tape secure your led path ensuring your not too close to your fan stick the tape down until you think it will hold the leds in place or use super glue for extra security.
Now cut the fans power suppys red and black cables in the middle and trim the rubber giving you some copper either side and then prepare your LED strip to attach RED to + Positive and BLACK to - Negative and using your cable connectors tighten the them in place making the 12v connection to power the LED's and once clipped in securley use the elecrical tape to double over your connectors to ensure now short outs ever occur.
Now stick your LED's in place securley and replace cover and all screws then power up the console.

I take no responisbilty in anything that happens to you or your console and by doing this your are doing so at your own risk!
Please use common sense and be carefull when using electrics and always ensure the console if turned off at the mains before opening.
