This has MANY new features, and also has new fixes. If you are a modder this is a good resource for you all. What this basically does is that it lets you download homebrews straight from your PS3!

These are the new stuff that the new udpate contains:

• Ability to download over 70 packages from the XMB just by selecting them, with no USB stick required.
  
• Packages divided up into 4 categories (plus an upcoming themes category that Im working on)
  
• Package list will update automatically or can be refreshed manually using the new function.
  
• Removes the annoying Spotify and Singstar links from main XMB (packages still available to download through XMBPD)
  
• This application installs to flash so it is still there after a system format/restore, handy for getting your favourite apps back without needing a PC/USB Stick.
  
• Installing this will also fix some missing icons from CFW tools on ingame XMB.
  
• XMBPD can be updated from within itself via the Tools/Mods/Misc section.
  
• Addon available called “CFW Applications” which adds a new folder to your XMB for applications you want to keep separate from your games.
  
• Selection of applications available in the Tools/Mods/Misc sections that will install straight into the CFW applications folder.(or you can move your own apps easily by changing the category to CB in the PARAM.SFO and resizing icon slightly)
  
• New icon set for all the categories, All the icons are added to the relevant RCO files for fastest response and smallest filesize while keeping quality.
  
• This is compatible with Multiman singstar unlike early releases.
  

He also revamped the XMB while on his resource which looks really Amazing! Really made the icons look beautiful as well! Here is some quick photos to glance at!

the developer also added a few notes for the modders out there. He states:

• A PSN account is still required for this application to work, you don’t need to be signed into PSN, you just to have an account on your PS3.
  
• This installer was only made for Rebug 4.78, It will not install on lower FW.
  
• After the initial install please reboot and allow up to 2 minutes for the categories to fill up as it syncs.

Hi. I am the creator of XMBPD. It was ONLY designed for Rebug 4.78 like the source (psx-place) and all the warnings say. That is why the pkg name is "XMBPD_v0.20.00_Rebug_4.78_Only" and why I included a warning written in red in the installer saying this is ONLY for Rebug 4.78 and needs CFW tools enabled while installing.

It would support any Rebug FW down as low as 4.70 but it makes the package much bigger and it makes a lot more work porting it to the lower FW's. So Ive decided to only support Rebug 4.78. I see no reason for anyone to be staying on 4.70 and if you want new features you will have to update to newer FW, just like with official FW.

Note: If you install this on CFW other than Rebug you will need to reinstall FW from recovery. (make sure to remove any disc from the bluray drive first)

FYI: Id just like to point out that this file you have linked is coming direct from my dropbox, So even though you say its a reliable source now I can swap the file at any time for a completely different file. so if I swap this file then your users will receive a different file, so a virus scan of the current file at the end of that link would also be useless in this case just like it was useless in the case of my webman Launchpad mod. not to mention that a virus scan of a pkg or a sprx would not work anyway as the AV cant decrypt the fiiles. As a moderator it is good to be informed about such things, if you want to be really super safe you should mirror the file yourselves and remove my link otherwise you will have to trust the source.
