Well, I think Sony did this to have an ideia of how much Jailbroken ps3's are playing on psn and they will ban all the accounts that got online using invalid console ids.

There seems to be a little ban wave today, I've had multiple friends get banned. However, I'm still using an invalid CID and wasn't banned so that's not what caused it

no, I never disable because if I disable I can't play mw3.
