idk what it is but from what i am hearing with this you are able to access things on the ps3 that could not before. So technicly this is just the start, this doesn't allow you run run homebrew, pirated games, emulator or anything like that as it is now, you must mess around with it first. So good luck hackers.
idk if this info is correct
but this proccess is hard for noobs like me, it requires you to opne the ps3 up i think, but my question is if someone got a CFW for ps3 would we be able to install that CFW onto ps3 that have not been hacled like this? Cause i was thinking this is just to access certain things, what if someone could get a CFW to reconize on unhacked ps3. That would be awesome

i really hope someone comes up with a "don't need to open your console" hack. Man i wish it was easy just to attach a hDD to the ps3 open linux and run a program from there. idk can u run program in linux? cause wat if someone came up with a program then from learning all these codes and keys(they still need to be found) and applied it to a program that can automatically access this stuff without opening it up. like i said i'm a noob at this stuff, so this is just something off the top of my head. well we are gonna have oto wat a few month before we actually see any type of psp hack stuff, so until then.

Another issue is sony potentially paatching this. Like the founder said its only 5% hardware and 95% software, so sony could potentially take away the OS feature if they don't want this to get out of control, but if they don't then they can't patch the hardware like this its like making a pandora battery if you think about it. But anothe rthing sony could do i think is change the codes with every FW update

sorry for the double post i'm typing with my ps3 and the word limit is reached, can't access pc either
Wow this could open to allot of potential, think about Homebrews, and emulators to run ps2 games mybe possible even 360 games (not through a disc but external HDD which could become readable if they make a CFW), what i really want is universal in-game music. But i just realize lol, this might make trophie hacking easy, since you should be able to access the trophy data from here. but also make hacks for games be able to work now.

I think it would be effin' sweet if someone made a screen recording application (to make it so you don't need a $200 cap card), then let you export it to some type of storage device (USB, backup, etc) then you could edit on your MAC/PC. Would be freaking epoch

actually i think sony should make this so its required to have in games, Some games support it already, but sony should have it so its mandaotory just like trophies are.

It is advised that you READ ALL of the instructions of this EXPLOIT BEFORE attempting it.

Clearly states: "Requires MINOR HARDWARE MODIFICATION".

This is NOT/yet it is the almight God exploit we have been/are waiting for.

Software is when we get what we want. People, at least I highly doubt, are not going to be willing to open their 300-700 (depends when you got your PS3 and where) Playstation 3 for hacking.
