Im having troubling get my lag switch to work. Ive bought and tried both a cat5e and a cat6. Both with the same results. When using the orange wire as soon as i flip switch i get disconnected immediately. With green wire it does absolutely nothing, theres no effect. Ive even tried changing my connection speed to duplex 10 and 100. which has the same effect as using the green wire. running out of options and could use some suggestions. My last guess is trying a different switch or buying a different modem. im using a 3-way switch right now. any help would be greatly appreciated.
ya im starting to think that a longer cable will give better lag, i might ask my friend if i can have his roll of cat5 and just put some ends on it and see if that works....and im running cable not dsl. Also im going to let my friend try my switch and see if he has any luck, that should narrow it down to whats causing it not to work.
itsonfire I have dsl and I get great lag for my settings amazing lag acually
25 feet of lag connected directly to router
20-25 seconds of lag
my problem is it will not let me add any more ethernet cords when I add any more i get disconnected right away
happens to me everytime i reboot i reset my connection settings and sign in and out while hitting the switch until it stops saying dissconnected sounds hard but not.
for it not to kick you off you have to have a sraight cable.. meaning your cable from ur system must go sraight to your main box (modem/router) or it will kick you off. ir you have a router and a modem use the one that is the main one
