This is probably a longshot of a question since it's 2025 and I'm not sure how many people are mucking about wit the PS3, but the tldr of it all is that I followed one of those guides and used IDPSet to change my IDPS and PSID. The IDPS changed fine, but the PSID turned to all 0s. And now it won't let me change it back. It keeps throwing up "Error Bad EID_root_key" even though the same key lets me change the IDPS. Additionally, I can't save games anymore either as a result of this.
Spoofing PSID doesn't seem to be an option either since none of numbers seem to take.
I've tried various firmware as well, both custom and official. Nothing seems to fix it. All the googling leads to videos about temporary changes or people recommending just IDPSet. I saw links to some other permanent changers but they no longer work since it's been well over a decade.
Like I said, I know it's a longshot, but if anybody's experienced this before and managed to fix it, suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
Also, for the record my none of my Console IDs were banned or anything. I just wanted to move to move my Singstar dlc to a new system and both the IDPS and PSID need to match the old one.
