(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys, trying to get some thermal paste to apply. First off I'd like to say that I have a phat ps3 model cechk01 so it's pretty old, I'm wondering if I buy some arctic silver 5 and reapply thermal paste if it'll make a noticeable difference. Even after my fan is on as high as it will go CPU is around 66 C and GPU is around 51 C and that's just at the XMB. Keep in mind that's max fan speed. So I'm wondering if there's a solution or a few solutions to get me down to the 50's and maybe even the 40's. Also if this helps any in the 6 or so years I've owned my ps3 I've never put thermal paste in it... So any help would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance Smile

Seeing as your ps3 is fairly old, it should make a difference to around 50. I really doubt it'll hit 40 unless you want to keep the fan at the max settings.

The temperatures will vary depending on how you apply the thermal paste and how old your hardware is, sometimes the fan can get dust in it aswell which can add into your temperatures.
