YLOD follow these vids to fix.

Not a permanent fix, might last one week or 6 months

I re flowed a old fat ps3 lasted 6 months.

When it breaks after that you can reflow again but it might only last two weeks or less

Or you can lob the mobo in the oven, there a lots of tutorials search: YLOD oven fix.

You can re-ball the ps3 but it expensive

Ok so I should go again and buy thermal compound and then do whatever he does and it will SURELY work right? Even for two seconds I don't care I just want it to turn on for some time and make it last long.

Might work but then again it might not..Depends how badly you damaged it,did you use alot of force to separate the mobo from the heat sink?
Relow & get some more thermal paste

If that don't work get it reballed. You never answered if you flashed the ps3 or not.

What do you mean heat sink and all that? I'm new sorry. And I flashed it a LONG time ago like 4-5 years ago from game console repair. I can flash it again but I don't want to do all that work. And thermal paste and compound are the same thing right? I'm probably gonna do the oven one. Which one is safer?

YLOD is a very big problem. I've never actually had to deal with a YLOD'd console before but I've heard a lot of stories of how people have fixed theirs, I am of no use here :(
