I was playing games on my slim PS3 when suddenly my fan got really loud and I got an overheating warning. Since then my PS3 overheats withing 5 minutes on the home screen. I opened it up to have a look at what's going on. When I turn my PS3 on the fan spins a couple of times and completely stops.

Any help?

Try replacing the thermal paste. Also if your ps3 is jailboken you can put the fan mod on which will help also.
