I just Google it to see if there was finally an answer since last time (1-2 years ago) I googled it and nothing popped up so I just did it and alot of people have had the same issue, some say it might be software issue and others that the hdmi port is not working no more.
So my question here is, changing my ps3s software version to a newer one will fix it or no? My ps3 is jailbroken using rogero 4.50 and was wondering if there's a newer version for it and if it's good for me to hop online and mod games and also to see if it will fix my hdmi issue or my hdmi port is just bad?

I recommend going into Recovery Mode and simply installing a new Custom Firmware because Rogero is not used by many.

Wont matter, my hdmi port is dead as well...sucks but nothing you can do IF forsure it is hardware and not software, best thing if you are skilled is solder a new hdmi port connecter on

nothing in the ps3's software cane fix that, from what you have told me I think that it is a problem with the HDMI In port, you can try to buy anoter one, or take it to the shop to see if someone can replace it, but thats the only options i see possible for you
