The files copy correctly and everything works until I go to load the career in the actual game where it then says the data is corrupted. One person asked if I used Xploder but I do not know how it works. Is it something I have to download 1st?

If you are using someone else's game save or sometimes different possibilities, it won't let you use it in the game because the game thinks you are trying to use someone else's game save and it won't let you use it. The only way to use it is to resign the save using xploder or bruteforce. There are tutorials on here on how to do it. I personally use xploder but you have to pay for that.
