I know there is some way that people can reset the password without the birth date verification.

Go in a live chat with PSN or something and tell em you entered it wrong

There is a PC tool that can actually tell you your 'filled in' d.o.b. (use google to find it)
From there you can reset your password by yourself.

I've done it with all my accounts, as I also used to fill in just a random d.o.b.
