Hi everyone. I got a PS3 Slim 120GB in a bulk buy. It has never been opened and still has the warranty sticker. As usual you go to boot it and get the message "HDD not found". At first I though it was the HDD but I tried another and still the same thing.
Now here is the weird thing.
I can get the PS3 to boot and work properly only if the HDD is connected externally. Your probably thinking how?
Well I put an E3 flasher were the HDD normally goes and plug in a sata cable to were the HDD is in the dock and it actually works. But I still can't figure out why it wont boot internally. I tried updating to FW 4.66 and rebuilding database but its still the same. When the HDD is inside the PS3 there is no HDD light flashing and the HDD has no power.
If anyone has any suggestions please help me out
EDIT: I just booted the console with the HDD externally and now getting a message that it needs me to install FW 4.66 again. I've added some images. Just installed 4.66 again and now it works externally...
