(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So I split coffee on my PS3 a while back. I let it dry out and cleaned the motherboard etc. but since turning it back on, the only thing wrong with it is when I'm playing a game I will randomly start spazzing out like I'm button bashing every 20mins. My question is, does anyone know what is making it do that ? Is it a chip on the MB that needs replacing, if so which one ?

Thanks

In regards to noises nothing. All that happens is for example. When on gta I'll be driving down the road and it will suddenly bring up the phone, jump out the car, go to character selector etc. I originally thought it was the controller so got a brand new one an it still does it.

That sounds like a controller issue, not the actual ps3 itself. But as you said about the new controller, I am guessing it's some chip in the motherboard related to controller functions, no idea what one though.

Have you tried the other USB port? I'm wondering if the port itself is bad. I am doing some research into the location of the aux chips and such, but for shits and giggles, have you tried the other USB port? If it is the port, that should be too tough of a fix. Also, what model PS3?

yeah tried both of them, its working better now I scrubbed the board , waiting for some 100% alcohol I ordered off ebay to arrive so I can properly clean it. gonna see if that's what t needs I also did some digging and I thnk it could be the Bluetooth part of the board. but all guess work lol

sure about that?...Because I don't think the controllers are running of bluetooth...that is for headsets and the like....The controllers are just USB devices...
