I feel sorry for you, you just bricked your PS3. BUT if it's Phat, pull out the HDD, put it on one of your computers SATA ports, reformat on NTFS, put it back in the PS3, update again. Same process with Slim I'm almost sure, but idk how to get at the HDD at a slim console but try that.
