(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); My ps3 says the file system on the system storage is corrupted and will be restored and i press ok but once that gets done and the ps3 restarts it says the same thing so when i try to restore it using safe mode my ps3 says connect usb to controller and press ps button but i dont have a sony brand one i only have a wired off brand controller am i screwed or is there a way to fix this with an off brand controller?

If it has a PS button then it'll work, if not then you'll need to borrow one from a friend

It has one but whenever i press the button it does nothing so yea im screwed ima just have to buy a new one today.

He is right, only Sony brand controllers work in recovery mode.
