Post: HDMI SPLITTER that works with PS3 to be able to record problem!

Hola
Big Daddy
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey so i bought a HDMI splitter and an Elgato Capture card 60HD to use with my consoles.
I thought the splitter would make me able to record with my capture card but it doesn't seem to work for some reason?

I came to the conclution that the signal was encrypted and the splitter didn't send out an uncrypted signal so the card didn't recicve the signal?

The Splitter works with my PS4 but not my PS3 & 360 :(
Does anyone have anything i can try or knows anything about this.
Thanks in advance! <3

You should possibly look it up on a youtube tutorial. But if you have a splitter with a Elgato HD60 it should work. Me myslef i do not have a Elgato but i am almost certain you have to do some settings on the ps3 for it to work Smile

I don't think so to be honest but i tried changing the system and the elgato to 720p30fps but that didn't really do anything either :/

Just watched some tutorials on youtube for you.. and by the looks fro the videos they come straight up on the computer. You must be doing something wrong for it to not work.

A = One side of an HDMI Cable or USB.
B = The other side.

I have 3 HDMI cables, 1 Elgato Capture card 60HD, 1 PC, 1 Splitter 1 USB cable and 1 PS3.

Alright so this is what i do:
1. I take 1 HDMI Cable from my PS3 SUPER SLIM to my HDMI splitters input.
2. I take my Elgato and plugs in the usb cable A in my elgato, B in my PC's usb port.
3. Then i take the 2nd HDMI cable and put A in the output 1 on the splitter, then B in my TV/Monitor.
4. I take my 3rd HDMI cable and put A into the output 2 on the splitter, then B in the same side of the Elgato card as i put my USB cable in.
5. I start my software, wait for it and the softwares detects a signal but is black(screen).
6. My TV/Monitor displays my PS3's signal.
