I've seen the physical version saves but I doubt they will work with the digital version.

there is a save if you search this site that works for many story and online trophys, and works with both disk, digital, and, multiple regions. I know several users that have used it

Can you link me to it please. The ones I can find don't say (Digital) when I bruteforce them and run them on my ps3. They just say "Twisted Metal" instead of "Twisted Metal (Digital)"

The two save files are separate.

Twisted Metal is for physical
Twisted Metal (Digital) is for digital.

If I start a digital game up it's going to look for a save file that says "Twisted Metal (Digital)" not "Twisted Metal"
since the two are different.
