id only use this for those pain in the ass trophies like bbc 1 an final fantasy 13 the rest ill do legit but ill use this for those who managed to score those hard plats ill try to post some of my plats up as i have 42 about 9 hacked plats an that makes 33 legit plats for me

I can see some merit in a trophy hack; it would only be useful if it was kept for farming trophies (I have several friends who are missing 1 trophy in Demon Souls purely because the drop rate for this 1 item by 1 monster is 0.5%) or on-line trophies which can be hoarded and therefore preventing others from getting it.

Sadly there will always be misuse; even if software was written and then limited to certain trophies someone else would come along and make something that will edit all trophies.

I hope someone will find out how to delete a game from your trophy list because i've played a few games once, and played it never again. And it is strange that when you load a saved game from GT5, it will popup some trophys. So there must be some things possible I think.

ok i know i ain't a big hacker... but like the other guy sayd from the "people can see my id with HxD"... can't we just change that id with our's? or wil it "kill" the file?

The problem is that there's more to the trophy system than the tropusr.dat file, and those other parts are encrypted (or that's my current conclusion).

Without knowing the encryption method/keys it'd probably be quicker to run a spyware layer and see what calls games make to the system when trophies get unlocked and then work out how to spoof those calls for other trophies.
