Post: How to share Platinum Trophys

Requirements:-
- Geohot 3.55 CFW
- Some sort of Signed FTP (Blackbox is best option)
- Filezilla or any FTP Client
- a Game with Trophys on it
Alright so ill try and keep this as simple as possible and try not to confuse myself in the making of this guide anyway steps are below.
Step 1
Make sure you have a Platinumed game on your account
Step 2
Connect your PS3 to Filezilla on your PC
Step 3
Open up the PS3 Contents on your FTP and go to the following
dev_hdd0>home>[Choose User with Trophys]>Trophy
Please note your game will use a different number to the game ID on the side of your box. So you will need to locate it the proper game by simply opening files copying over a trophy image and that will determine which game it is
Step 4
Once you have located your game trophy folder simply find the TROPUSR.DAT file
Step 5
Give your friend the TROPUSR.DAT and get him to put it in his FTP over his existing TROPUSR.DAT file open the game PS Quit then Sync to server and wala you are done.

Just as the Hex editing of TROPUSR.DAT may have worked once, this method may very well have worked in the beginning - but each time a hole like this is found and used it quickly gets fixed in a fw that introduces new files into the trophy system that prevent that method from working.
I never tried this method so can't say if it used to work, but this method doesn't sync now.

Hey man, just copy paste the buttom half starting at the total amount of trophies earned and below from plat'd dat file to a new blank dat file from the second account. I'm sure that it's a user issue, even if unassigned to a psn it's still assigned to a user id on your ps3. so yeah, just copy/paste the bottom half in a hex editor and it should sync from there. if not. try copy/pasting from just 5-6 lines higher, which might be a validation for the trophies to actually make it past psn validation checks.
Hey, does anyone have any legit dat files? I'd like to try this idea as well. I've done a lot of hex editing with the trophy dats but never with a legit one that's not mine already. I've got tons of games, so the chances that I've got one you legitly platd is pretty good. I'll even trade, my legit plat dat files are for: borderlands, burnout paradise, modern warfare 2, socom us navy seals confrontation and fuel. i've also got non-legit ones, but haven't sync'd them yet because I'm still hexing the rest being that i've got about 75-85 games. I've been using a different method for timestamps thanks to a gamesave hack for fuel. This way if there's a certain amount of time between the 2 timestamps for each trophy (because there is a time difference between the two) then I've got that covered because the system unlocks each trophy thanks to the gamesave hack. the gamesave hack doesn't plat but it gets 42 of the 46.. but it is 42 legit timestamps made up pretty fast. if anyone has legit dats they'd like me to work on for friends or for community let me know and I'll have no problems, I'll make up a list of games I've got and if I don't have a game, I'm sure I can get it from friend or for cheap at store. I'm more interested in workin legit plat dat's for everyone else's benefit. because non-legit ones don't always work. Oh and I'm not doing PSN games unless they've got a plat attached to it. 12-16 trophies isn't worth my time. sorry.
