(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Why did this tool have to be released? There's already other working trophy editors, including mine. Hell, I've had released an application that allows you to modify timestamps to whatever you want. The point is that these tools and this tool are all useless, anyway, because they won't be synced successfully. So, why bother adding a different fancy application that serves the same purpose?

So, if you want to sync your game's hacked trophies successfully, you would need to somehow register these hacked trophies to your game's TROPTRNS.DAT (not to be confused with TROPUSR.DAT).

These tools that cannot sync hacked trophies only modify TROPUSR.DAT. This file may be unencrypted, but it's useless because the purpose of the file is displaying the trophies / timestamps information on your XMB. That's it, nothing more. In other words, this file doesn't really store your hacked trophies once you try to sync them over. TROPTRNS.DAT is the only file that holds your trophies information - it's like validating your trophies.

When you sync, the TROPHY server collects your TROPTRNS.DAT AND TROPUSR.DAT to store your actual trophies on the server. Since these tools only modify TROPUSR.DAT, the server will be like WTF? because your TROPUSR.DAT and TROPTRNS.DAT don't match.

And guess what? TROPTRNS.DAT is encrypted. So, you cannot modify it.

As far as I know, there are two methods to register hacked trophies to TROPTRNS.DAT:

1) Hook the run-time memory of a game with your homebrew, and then call a certain function with a trophy ID number from the NP Trophy Utility. Basically, call sceNpTrophyUnlockTrophy() with an ID (e.g. Trophy ID) and then the NP Trophy Utility will unlock that trophy and proceeds to congratulate you with the grey dialog and that sound. At that point, the NP Trophy Utility will also store the unlocked trophy / timestamp to your TROPUSR.DAT VALIDATED by your TROPTRNS.DAT.

2) Use the released keys to decrypt TROPTRNS.DAT. Modify it, and then re-encrypt it...

I think this is useful for all the users that may want to develop the .pkg and for the ones that are always asking for TROPSUR.DAT:bro:

We already knew this from 5 month ago, why post again

Inaudax and mcstyle24 (Two top original trophy hackers) already explain why Trophy sync won't work and they are working together to currently to fixed this. But originally it was mcstyle24 has found another way to sync Trophys without error.

Also mcstyle24 has force Inaudax not to release a Trophy fixed guide for some reason.... So guys don't get your hope up because they both move on to do something else....so i guess we won't see anytime soon.

So are you saying they've still not found a way to sync through editing files, but have found another way of hacking trophys that does allow syncing and therefore have finished looking into it and moved on?

What!?!!, why you have to be so pisses off. No i don't know much about all these Trophy files but i always there to understand and what going on. I not even attempt to do it myself. I just want see if it actually working or not.
I swear Both induax and mcstyle24 did work together to explore and understanding how trophy files works. This happen when Jailbrake dongle release. They have that thread somewhere around here.

When i said they both move on to do something else, what i mean isthey are not doing trophies anymore they quit i guess. Well i din't know mcstyle working on contructer site, so who told you that ?

well you need send a message to mcstyle24, he might explain to you the latest update. There a thread somewhere that mcstyle explain why trophy sync din't work. He did say he got it to work again but it was limted of time before Sony patch it.... i think.
Yeah they both moved on, i guess they quit or too much pressure by viewers at that time. I believe they know the other way round to get Trophy sync working again....so they probably kept it quiet this time.

Ah okay, thanks for clearing that up.
I was investigating the trophy system too and came to 3 methods of doing it:
1) Learn to decrypt the other files for editing
2) ARP Poisoning and sniffing the sync packets (used to be xml but now encrypted so much harder)
3) Spoof the systems trophy unlock call

I've already completed a mapping of TROPUSR.DAT including all the checksums and what each part does but have only just started looking at the encryption files; Although looking at TROPTRNS.DAT and the way it changes each time a trophy is earned or synced it appears to be TROPUSR.DAT (minus the header and footer) encoded byte for byte, but I'm no decryption expert so I'm sure someone will come along and unlock it all long before I get around to it.
