I'm trying out this jailbreaking, though it's not working yet.
I've updated my PS3 a few days ago, with firmware 3.60.
But I've also downloaded something called Jailbreak 3.55

I put my PS3 offline, without even an internet connection, put the jailbreak-thingy on the USB, tried to update my PS3 via USB (so the jailbreak would be the update - you know what I mean)

But then.. it failed.

Then I tried to downgrade my firmware from 3.60 to 3.55, so I downloaded the update that was up back then. But that also failed, and gave me an error code.

So my question is: How can I get my PS3 to be jailbroken?

Because I also got a file that would make me able to hack any trophy I desire, named the Trophy Editor.

And my other question is: Can I still get online, talking to friends and stuff (I DO NOT need to play online - I don't even like that), if I jailbreak my PS3, sync the new hacked trophies, without being banned?

If you reinstall your PS3 (so all data will be deleted and stuff), will you be downgraded in firmware then? I have the update of 3.55, and the jailbreak of 3.55 available on my pc...

no you cannot restore or format stuff like that the files are on your nand and cannot be deleted

so it will ask always for 3.60 also if you had spoofed to 3.60 but have been 3.55 it will ask for 3.55 so for now there is no jailbreak possibilty for you. my advise is, get a broken ps3 not with ylod with a broken blue ray player. you can get it for 100 bucks or lower. if it regognize still that there is game inside the ps3 but cannot load it, shit on it, it still works for backups and you can jailbreak it easy. you can use your actual ps3 if you want to play on psn your legit copies and never be afraid of beeing banned. no there was never a case of someone being banned using cfw

Its impossible to downgrade from 3.60, and you're late dude, 3.55 jailbreak is for firmware 3.55, what made you think it would work on 3.60, it even said it in name, jb-3.55 right?

Yes indeed. See, that's the point. I know it doesn't work, 'cause I already tried it. But I used to think that if you use the update for jailbreak, it would automatically delete 3.60. Unfortuanetly, though..

YOUR F*CKED. Once you upgraded/downloaded 3.60. ThaT ruined/killed your opportunity for a 3.55 jailbreak. Sorry kiddo.
