Note: I do NOT provide a tutorial on the LBP 1 hack. Also it is not an instant plat hack such as LBP 2 and Socom. You do have to beat a level, grab a prize bubble, etc. Do NOT PM me with questions. I am sick of it.
So after receiving countless messages wanting to know the exploit, I have decided to release it. Even though it was already posted. People are rather lazy to use the search function on NGU. Let me start by saying I do not take credit for this exploit. It was first posted by (Kit_Kat328) here: You must login or register to view this content.
I (along with many other users) can confirm that this method 100% works on OFW. No CFW is needed to unlock the LBP 2 plat. I have heard from users that it does not matter what region either. It has worked for both EU and US versions of the game.
Here is a detailed step-by-step on how to do this:
1. Create a copy of your "profile" data
To do this, go to your "Pod". Go to Settings>Profile>Backup Profile. Now your profile is backed up.
2. Exit LBP 2
3. Go to your Gamesave data in the XMB
4. Copy your "Profile" data to a USB stick
5. Now insert the USB stick into your PC
6. Download a platinum gamesave/profile off of NGU. Here is one (Yes it is a CFW thread, but CFW is not needed: You must login or register to view this content. (credit to Onion for the save)
7. Open up the downloaded profile data
8. Open up YOUR profile data
9. DELETE the "0" file from YOUR profile (not the profile you downloaded)
10. Now copy and paste the "0" file from the downloaded file to YOUR data.
11. Now move the data back to the PS3
12. Load up LBP 2
13. Go to Settings>Profile>Import Profile from USB
14. Get ready for trophies to start popping

Important notes to read:
1. This works for every region (EU, US, UK, Jap, etc)
2. This works for OFW and CFW.
3. This will work with all firmware (3.55, 3.61, etc)
4. The save listed does give instant platinum
5. Do NOT ask me any questions anymore regarding this hack
6. If you are NOT able to get it to work, then it is YOUR fault as you did something wrong.
7. I will ignore all future questions regarding this hack as all of them ask so far have been the direct result of lazy ass people. Grow the F*CK UP!!!!!
8. I can guarantee that whatever question you have, then it has already been asked on a previous post. Read all previous posts. I don't give a sh*t if there are 20+ pages of posts. Quit being so damn lazy.

On a side note: Apparently Max21 is saying that one of the saves provided by one of the other members is his save. I cannot confirm, nor deny this. So until proven otherwise, I will have to list him as a contributor.

I agree with you there are morons who doesn't read at all.. They are stuck and don't do researching first before ask some questions..
But why is it a mistake 'to release it like this'? If we just help each other and everyone is searching information in the whole thread before posting a question, it would be better managed I think.
The save provided in the post by clitwub isn't working for me either :-(.. It's obvious that or I am doing something wrong or my configuration (PS3/FW/game update) is not letting me to load the save.. When importing the profile it's stuck at 50% and then gives an error with data corruption. Yes I DELETE "0" from mine save and copy "0" from the downloaded save to my save folder and transfer data back to my PS3...

broseph im just curious, but do u have to completely finish the campaign before using this exploit? or if you load it mid way... ?

Did you make a backup of your profile to begin with? Make sure you re-read over each step in the guide. I promise you it is very easy. In fact, I cannot write any simpler than what I already have written.

All credit was given to the correct parties for their contributions. None of these saves were given by you. If you feel that someone did "donate" your work without giving you credit, then you need to contact the person responsible for the contribution to this thread. All the parties are listed on the OP.
Edit: I have added your name to the end of the OP, until such time it is proven that none of the saves provide by Proskatercam, Onion, and others are yours. At that time, when it is found that none of the work is yours, you name will be removed accordingly. If however, one of the saves is yours, then your name will replace the person who donated your save.
Do you have any proof that any of the links given to me are your saves?
