Before any one starts reading this saying this was posted before... i know but people didnt quite under stand it and needed help. also the original thread poster asked me to post this

The reason im posting this is cause some people cant run homebrew on there Ps3 like me. we only get a black screen.
So here is how to change your patch without homebrew.

Step 1: find a pkg for the game you want the patch on. Im going to be using a (BLUS30072)You must login or register to view this content. .MAKE SURE ITS IN YOUR REGION!

Step 2: download the You must login or register to view this content.

Step 3: download the You must login or register to view this content. preferably v1.20

Step 4: extract and place your PKG Toolkit gui and your games pkg on your desktop

Step 5: open the PSP PS3 PKG Decrypter Extractor v.1.0.0.0. and go to PSP PS3 PKG Decrypter_Extractor/bin/release then open PS3 PSP PKG Decrypter & Extractor.exe. once you open it you should get a program like this

Step 6: brouse for your pkg or drag it into the program then click extract package once it is finished extracting it will say PKG Extracted Successfully

Step 7: now that you have extracted the pkg you can close the Decrypter Extractor. you should now have a folder on your desktop that looks like this . this is your pkg. open the folder an go to USRDIR. inside ther there should be a patch_mp.ff/patch.ff .

Step 8: find any modded patch_mp.ff and replace it

Step 9: once you replaced the patch close that folder and put your extracted pkg folder inside the extracted pkg toolkit gui folder and open the pkg toolkit gui

Step 10: for imput folder brouse for your extracted pkg folder inside the pkg toolkit gui folder

Step 11: next you are going to need a file called You must login or register to view this content. open it with notepad and replace the ContentID to the exact same name as your extracted pkg folder (rename and copy+paste) then once it is the same name go back to the pkg toolkit and brouse for the package.conf file.

Step 12: now once you have loaded it into the pkg toolkit it will give you a code on ContentID. copy and paste that back into that package.conf file we just had open with notepad so that it replaces the old contentid we just changed.

Step 13: Build the pkg and insert to the root of a flash drive just like any other hombrew

Step 14: install the pkg just like anyother homebrew/ pkg. once it installs it will show up as a regular game patch.

Step 15: data transfer and enjoy
