i hope i can get some info about fast swapping cfw

its like this i tryed all sorts of stuff to downgrade my ps3 so i can install cfw
cant get it done without soldering and dont want that
so i read alot about fast swapping and deside to do that
is it like this if i get a new harddisk a fresh one wil i be able to put the cfw 3.55 on it
and when i put the harddisc in wil that work or not
because ive seen alot of stuff about it but nothing about the fact or it wil work this way like i asking
So i have a ps3 with ofw 3.70 on it i wanna get a new harddisc so i can instal a new cfw rite?
and if its correct i can change harddisks and firmwares in the ps3 rite from one to the other
and if this swapping stuff works will the account still be in ps3 like if i want to sync trophys
from 1 to other harddisk but on same account
pls help me before i buy a harddisk that useless after for me lol
hope i get answer soon because then i can order a harddisk
