and the save will get you alot of trophies ..

How do you get the gold medals for 'Get a GOLD ranking' for story missions and all bonus missions. I ask this because when I load up the save and start a mission, I get 3 other trophies pop, throughout the level I get maybe one or two more, then when finishing the level I get a few more and one gold (the one for completing game with all four characters)

Did you do a specific level for the other two golds to unlock? As i completed two levels at gold standard and the two other gold trophies are not unlocking?

Chose different character and do 1 level than trophy pop ..
