What you need...

- 1 ps3 on the latest firmware version (4.00 OFW)
- 1 ps3 CFW 3.55 (spoofed to the latest version 4.00, checkout the team rebug website for the latest spoofer)
- PC with FTP connection to CFW ( LAN cable + software... FILEZILLA = FREE )
- optional a PSN plus account (Usefull for games of wich the saves may corrupt)

Process...

If you downloaded saves (GOW Ghost of Sparta contains 30 saves + profile)

- Startup the BD version on your OFW and create 30 manual saves to begin with.

- Start a datatransfer from your OFW to your spoofed CFW (make sure the version of your spoofer is the same or higher than OFW)

- This may take some time but hey, it's a way to use those saves and get trophies out of it... lol

When the transferring is complete the FTP is the next step

- Open all saves you downloaded and start overwriting them on your CFW...
(copy all files except param.SFO... Do this for every save you need and for the profile save)

- Normally after this step you would loadup the game on your CFW but it's unpossible for this game as it requires a higher FW

- So you'll have to transfer everything back to your OFW using datatransfer

- This takes time again, therefor it's usefull to modify saves for several games at once ...

- When completed you'll have your modified saves on your OFW (most of them ready to use)

-OPTIONAL: If you have a PSN PLUS account it's usefull to copy all your modified saves to cloud storage at this time...

Some saves may corrupt after loading/getting trophies and may be unable to manually save over...
But they can give more trophies... For these saves it's usefull to have a PLUS account...
Just download the save again from your cloud storage, get some other trophies out of it and when it corrupts, just
download it again...

I'm not telling anyone to buy a PSN PLUS account, but it's a great way to save data transferring time on corrupting saves

ANOTHER HINT: You can't copy protected saves from USB to PS3...

But you can copy them to cloud storage even when modified!!!

for the saves you can manually save over, just do so (sometimes 2x, as it corrupts the first time and saves over the 2nd time)

They now become 'yours' and ready to use anytime...

thx for this tutorial but one question about the plus acc

i can only upload my copyproteced saves if there are on the ofw already...

if i try to copy the modfied version of this one from my cfw (through ftp, after this i tried to copy from usb to plus @OFW), but i can't copy/upload them to the cloud storage... :-/

this is not really a work around for non working games on cfw or copy protected save files as this will overwrite stuff that i have on my cfw ps3 (data transfer sucks and is pointless), also this method is old, very old, i was getting excited that you come out with something new but i was disappointed.

You have to modify them on your CFW, put them back on OFW through datatransfer (not USB) and then your able to put them on cloud storage best before using them... just in case they do corrupt

Says the guy who told there is NO WAY to transfer these saves between OFW and CFW...

you can't because the blu ray release doesn't work on cfw so there is no way to transfer these saves from cfw to ofw.
