they get it because they like their account, some people buy cars and spend money doing those up, i myself have brought some trophies and i will in the future, i like my account to be complete any i cant get or cant be arsed to get im sure someone will be making themselves money doing it for others.

Those expensive ones are like rock band, guitar hero, the really hard ones. There are cheap ones as well that cost less than the game itself so you would actually be saving money if it was just for trophies.. Many collectors here buy them as well as sell them. Ive sold way more than Ive bought but with the money I get from that I buy other trophies for myself just cause I like to collect em

Well...they're called trophies for a reason; they're novelties. They aren't essentials, but to some, they bring satisfaction. Just as people enjoy collecting trivial things such as stamps, coins, toenails, hair clippings, etc., there is a portion of people who enjoy accumulating trophies and increasing trophy rank.
