I have done this twice now, So i can confirm this working by myself.

So what you want to do is:

1. Go into spec ops, and click find game then quickly choose the level you want to complete on veteran and wait for a partner.
2. Hopefully you join someone else's session, *You cant be host*
3. Choose veteran difficulty and prey the partner is a noob and stays on recruit/regular.
4. Complete the level and 'ing!' the veteran trophy is yours!

*Remember the host has to have the lower difficulty*


This makes me wonder if other spec op missions can be completed like this, if anyone wants to test it and let me know ill update the thread with your feedback

Does that work with friend invitations, too?

So I invite my friend, I choose Recruit Difficulty, he Veteran, and I finish the missoin and my friend will get the veteran trophy?

I know that it doesnt work in the regular spec ops mission.

u see at the beginning:

different difficulties, u can only earn 1 star.

yes it says that with the dlc missions, but you still get the trophy!
