you can either resign it using the region resign or there is a thread with saves for dlc trophies on it they will register

The saves from New Vegas WILL work. I got a $5 copy of the Ultimate Edition and used it to get the DLC trophies LONG after I sold the original version. You are doing something wrong if it doesn't work.
