Will also try this with a Game Genie in the U.S.

***EDIT***

This is a working EU save file with all challenges finished, which I used the Game Genie to re-sign to a U.S. PS3 profile.

All you have to do is beat one challenge (you can do the tutorial one where you capture two towns) and the three challenge related trophies will unlock.

Then you only have to win one public online game (you can use local PS3 controllers to make up the other three players) to get the Old Salt trophy to unlock.

Thank you very much, xFuTuRe, for posting this game save. Some two years after purchasing this game I finally eliminated a lot of grinding to finish my remaining trophies!
