What game are you trying to resign? It could me either that the save is crap, or the game isn't supported to resign at the moment.

im tryng to resign a dungeon defenders save ive seen many people do it before but i cant get it

Tbh I have ever only resigned Blops gamesaves. Maybe some keys differ from game to game?
