Yeah that was confusing looking back at it.
I'm not sure if you need to put the disc in the PS3, or straight into the PS4 first but after downloading the PS4 upgrade the PS4 looks for the PS3 Ghosts disc to be in the PS4 drive anytime you play it. I was told after asking and researching that there's no redeemable code; the upgrade is tied to the disc.
All PS3 to PS4 upgrades do the same thing. I got Ghosts digital so the process is different and I can't test your method. Game sharing on 3 gives you freedom since there isn't a disc. It's to prevent the loss of money.

LOL much clearer now thanks mate.
Yeah that makes a lot of sense - I guess a million other people planned doing what I suggested, having the PS3 disc in console is a smart move, just to activate the download.

- Download the save from the link provided
- Resign it to your own profile (Copy everything from my save into yours) with whatever resigner (Xploder/Bruteforce/KG/Whatever)
- Copy over to your PS3
- Load up your game, Resume it and continue.
