I was making a saveset for the game but accidentally deleted my users settings which apparently lost all my challenges done and so forth. Upon researching like crazy for something I found a starter save with 9,999,999 in money for the sims 3 but for the 360 version. Now if this can be done for this version then surely the same can be done for the PS3 version. It's just hard to believe that many games for the PS3 can be modded or exploited even games that are online based but yet nothing has come up for this game which has been highly asked for by many including myself.

Now I do not have CFW anymore so I can't extract my user settings for the game since that is locked. But the save itself isn't so I uploaded that. I also uploaded the modded save for the 360 version to compare and contrast. This is for the people we have here that are very skilled and know what they are doing based on modding games and such.

If you have CFW maybe you can compare the user settings with the modded save? Anyhow, at least a starter save for this game would be gold and appreciated. From there I can continue with my saveset or something.

So no one has an idea of applying mods to this game? I know for certain Sims game have never been hard to mod and the 360 version was modded. I have tried myself by hex editing, and all but keep coming up with corrupt data when I load the game. Somebody has to have some info about this.

I've heard it might be the EA checksum but others have said that the user settings might have the stats for money but since I do not have cfw anymore maybe someone who does can look into it. Or send me the user settings and I'll look into it and see what can be done.

Thank you very much bro. I greatly appreciate it. I will tinker around it and see what I can do. When you upload it could you tell me how much money you have at the last save? That might help in modding the money in this game.

how much money do you have in the save

In the PS3 save I uploaded I have 40,173

In the modded 360 save I uploaded I have 99,999,999


The 360 version was modded through the GPD which in turn is the User settings save for the PS3 version which I just found out. Once I get a User settings save with or without the save I can mess around with it through a Hex Editor and see what can be done.

I dont got the game anymore, just the save on my ps3, so i cant check how much money there is :S

Found This Out In The Psims3.x file

Your Money 40,175 = 9C,EF

This Was Found at 00019290 (offset 1929f) More Then Likely This Is The Correct Address For The Money But There Might Be A Few Of Them With In Side Just Use Hexworkshop google it if there are more this will pick them out for you

This Is The Hex For 99,999,999 (05,F5,E0,FF)

and here is your save with the hex code inserted dont no if it will work there might be some kind of encryption on it

Make Sure You Backup Your Save First

That's fine soad. Just when you can send me the user configuration data and I'll see for myself how much money is in it and go from there.





I have checked that before and the save when loaded in game came out corrupted. I'll try it again and see if I did something wrong but I doubt it. Again, I was told that it might be in the user configuration data. Thanks btw
