Hey,
I'm trying this with PS3 Brute Force Save Data.
After decrypting, adding in the item cheat only, encrypting, then putting it back onto my vanilla PS3, I get a "Failed to load save data" message when trying to load the save.
Does anyone know what's up? I thought it could be not setting console id or user id in the program, but it appears to be signing everything correctly anyways.
Thank You
EDIT:
-the resigning software corrupted it aka bug/glitch/crash
-the savefile is incomplete, you have maybe tried to resign a save without sfo file
-you have used a wrong sfo file, maybe from a different game or a different savegame slot
-the games.conf is outdated and your game/region code is not added yet
-you were messing around with encrypted files (maybe for the purpose of hexediting/cheating)
I have not edited the encrypted files manually, and I have added the games.conf to include the LR:FF13 code. I don't think I screwed up the middle two.
EDIT EDIT:
Should i be setting user id and console id fields in the global.conf file manually?
That's because Final Fantasy XIII through Lightning Returns is massively encrypted. Bruteforce cannot encrypt nor decrypt a Final Fantasy save. It WILL corrupt your save everytime if you try. You need separate software to decrypt and encrypt those sort of saves in order to even put cheats on them.
