Post: TMNT Out of The Shadows Platinum save
05-14-2014, 08:37 AM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Yes, I'm still alive. And here is my Platinum Save for Out of the Shadows. I wasn't sure what unlocks what, if anything, so be sure to replace all saves with these just to be sure.

Feel free to test it and tell me what it unlocks, and i'll update accordingly.

EDIT: Its been reported by Maz that not only does it not pop the Survival trophy, but it also negates getting it in general.

If that's the case, I will probably delete this save, as its pretty much useless for the harder trophies.

Climbing up the ladder
any tips for survival and the combo trophy?

Sure, I'll copy-paste what I wrote for ps3trophies.org

Would you believe I had a less frustrating time here than with Arcade mode? That damned fix camera might have something to do with it....

Anyhoo, here are some tips. It goes without saying that you should max out every turtle out to be safe, but if you are like me, and impatient, then spend points on any ability that allows you to regain health, and especially Leo's revive-with-no-pizza ability.

Then, upgrade any way you are comfortable, though any move that opens up another KO option (Team TPKO, Shell Shock, TPKO threshold at 5) is advised.

Now, how I got through Survival (and Arcade and the challenges)

1) Use Donatello with a Lvl 3 Gauntlet. Which you wanna do is abuse the kicks without knocking the enemy down. That way the TPKO counter can go up so

2) you can spam the TPKO, which will refill your energy meter so you can use

3) The 360 Gauntlet attack, which stuns or kills ALL enemies, be they standing or on the floor dazed. From there you can repeat the cycle, or go into the Shell Shock or ANOTHER TPKO.

You always want to keep you eyes on Leo, for his revival ability. Granted, the AI isn't stupid, but just the same, watch out for him. That way, HE can do all the reviving, and your main turtle can horde all the Pizzas.

If you see any turtle alone and being grouped up on, ALWAYS stop what you are doing and go help them out. Heck, always try to stay bunched up next to them. The team attacks present themselves easily here.

As for bosses, always try to clear out the mooks, or limit them to one. Its annoying trying to manage this, but its even MORE annoying trying to land the killing blow with some enemy you can't see onscreen fudging you up.

Karai) Use Raph draw attention to yourself. From there, get in some pokes until she teleports, then mash O and counter with his Ground Pound throw. Get in some square shots or even a submission move, if your timing is good (just mash it here too). Repeat until she's dead.

Cerberus) Just keep running in and hitting those weak spots. Yeah, he'll smack you away, but there ain't no real way to do this otherwise. Use Donnie's 360 Gauntlet whenever you can, as it can hit all the points easy AND kill of any Mousers (this is definitely a point where you want to kill off all mooks, because they alone make this fight more annoying than it should be). Don't let him corner you. Not because you'll be trapped, but HE (and his heads) might be, making it hard to get to them before he recovers.

Shredder) First off, keep chucking what ever items you have at him (shurikens, Grenades) to whittle him down, then attempt the kick - TPKO loop mentioned above. Definitely no button mashing here. If you can't get enough kicks in the first time, simply back off and try again (he'll counter if you attempt too many). Eventually, he slow down, allowing you to TPKO loop more easily. And if you are good, you can get him into an endless loop of Kick Kick Kick TPKO (pick up) Kick Kick Kick TPKO until his death.

Helmet Shredder) Same as above, only NOW, in the level you fight him, you have EMP grenades. I don't recall him using the flying boulder attack here, but be on the lookout for that. You can also goad him into doing his dive kick by dashing in and around him (just keep the camera focused on him), which you can jump in and get some pokes in. Do as much damage as possible using whatever items you have, throw the EMP at him, then do the same as with normal Shredder.

Of course, this isn't exactly fool proof, but it did get me through all modes on my first attempt (yes really). The rest is up to you.

Stay cool, don't get impatient and button mash (if you get frustrated, PAUSE THE GAME AND WALK AWAY), and ALWAYS look out for your teammates.

Especially Leo.

Just to gives the heads up, Do not use this save to get the trophy for survival. I used it and completed survival mode and the trophy did not pop.
