For those who are still struggling, I thought I’d give as detailed a description of how to do this as possible. These are the exact steps that I followed and it worked for me, so I hope it works for you too. Learning to use Hex software was an interesting experience but it was very tough for me, so hopefully this will help. (I use KG resigned, by the way.)
*I’m assuming that you already have a USB drive that is ready to be used with your PS3, you have your own save for the game, plus you’ve already downloaded and installed KG resigner and HxD Hex Editor*
1. Download the region save that matches your game (mine was EU) at the top of each page of this thread.
2. Put the downloaded save onto your USB drive and start up KG resigner.
3. On the left hand side, you should see the contents of save. Left click this and chose “decrypt”
4. With the decrypted save still in the USB drive, go to the save and find the “SAVE.JSO”. Double ckick this file.
5. If you’ve installed HxD Hex Editor, it will open in this program. (You might need to tell it to open in this program)
6. Press control f, to bring up the find icon box and type “OnlineID”. It will take you directly to where this is written. Just after this you will see “PUT_YOUR_NAME_HERE”
7. With your mouse select this whole phrase (leaving the quotation marks) and type your PSN name (exactly as it’s spelt – it’s case sensitive too). If you have a short PSN name, then make sure that anything from the original phrase is deleted (EG if my PSN name is “mypsn_name” then I would type the following: “mypsn_nameAME_HERE” You can see that the end of the original phrase is still left, so you must delete it, leaving “mypsn_name”
*If you’ve got a really long PSN name, then I’m not sure what you should do, but the next step might be helpful. Someone might be able to help here as my PSN fitted perfectly*
8. With your PSN name entered, you need to scroll all the way to the bottom of the Hex file. The very last entry, on the far left, should read: “0001FFF0”. Across the page it should be all zeros and on the far right it should just be all dots. If you look at the very bottom of the Hex file, you should also see “Offset: 1FFFF”.
9. Save the file and go back to the folder. Right click the “SAVE.JSO” and double check that the file size is 131,072 bytes.
10. Now, save the file that is in your USB on your desktop and remove from the USB drive (this is a really important step)
11. Now resign the file as you usually would in KG resigner (using the file that you’ve just saved onto your desktop) and save the resigned file onto your USB drive.
12. Put the save onto your PS3, overwriting your save, and start the game.
13. Once it’s loaded, choose the far right “settings” button and select “Cloud Sync”
14. Watch the trophies pop and pop!
Good luck!
