The second save slot is saved right at the final mission "The Ultimate Weapon". The first save is a completed game on normal difficulty with all of the villains captured and their quests fulfilled (nothing is purchased from Auric or Hatterson except for the key to unlock Brock's secret arena). It also has the 4 adventure packs installed on it, which are also completed.

I don't have any real tips for defeating Kaos. All I can really recommend is using Kaos, assuming you have a Kaos Trap, and use his laser eye and shark attacks while keeping his primary attack set to the Magic Element to make sure his time/health bar can be filled quickly when the need arises (or, if you're feeling brave, set it to the Undead element to deal around 780 damage or so to Kaos).

And here is a save with Nightmare Mode already completed. This is in case you want to give your Skylanders an extra edge with the "Rainbow" hat, which only unlocks after beating Nightmare mode and gives your Skylanders an additional +42 Critical Hit, +25 Defense and +10 Speed, making it the most powerful hat in the Skylanders series to date.

*You can still unlock the "Arena Mogul" trophy, but you'd have to beat Nightmare Mode and purchase the key from Auric after the credits roll, as you can only purchase the key after beating the game. Or you can just use the second game save I've provided and purchase it from Auric there.
