I am trying to platinum the game .hack//Versus. quick thing about the trophy times... i believe if you sync time stamps of an earlier date you can re-write the previous ones. only problem is that i don't believe that it works the other way around. so if you set a 2013 release game to start in 2011, you cannot move that up to 2013, only earlier in time

Did you check that your game's exact region code is in the games.conf specifically? Because there are Asian, Korean, and JP versions of this game.
The game being JP shouldn't be a problem.
