I lost my old save on a game, and decided to download a save from the web to regain my progress. But when I transfer it to my PS3 saves from USB, it just keeps telling me that the "data is corrupted". An old thread suggested to remove the ICON0 file, which I did, but it only got me in to the game before it again told me the data was corrupted and so on. Is there an easy way to fix this?

waaaay too generic mate.
what game are you talking about?
have you resigned it? with which program? what steps did you follow in order to resign it?
Finally an icon is the last kind of file which could cause ANY problem at all... we are talking about a bitmap file which doesn't usually make issues most of the time.
i can assist you on the whole process if you need to.

Hi mate.
The game in focus is Shadow of the Colossus (HD Collection for PS3).
I have not resigned it or Jailbroken my PS3 and so on. After a few steps here and there i just jumped of, so no notable progress.
Only thing I've gone through with is downloading save files, removed the Icon, and tried to copy it over to the console.
If you're willing to guide me through, I'd really appreciate it. Do you know the most effective way to fix it?
