What Windows do you have?

Did you try unistalling and reinstalling?

When did this happen? Did it happen before?

Windows 8

Yeah tried the un-installing and re-installing several times

First time I've ever tried using the programme it either doesn't open at all or I get the not responding message.

Bruteforce save data version - 4.7

Have you tried running the program in compatibility mode?

That may be the problem on compatibility. I think Bruteforce doesn't support Win8. Try to find and set the compatibility to Win7 or lower.

Sorry for the late reply,

Change compatibility settings manually

These steps will not work with programs that are part of Windows, like Paint or Windows Media Player, or with apps you get from the Windows Store.

Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search.
(If you're using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, and then click Search.)

Enter the name of the program in the search box, press and hold (or right-click) the search result, and then tap or click Open file location.

Press and hold (or right-click) the program icon, tap or click Properties, and then tap or click the Compatibility tab.

Select one or more of the settings (see the table below for more info).

If you want to apply the settings for that program to all accounts on the PC, tap or click Change settings for all users. Administrator permission required You might be asked for an admin password or to confirm your choice.

When you're done, tap or click OK.

- Taken from Microsoft site

Try setting the program compatibility to Windows 7.

Ok so I managed to get it working, but I am having some trouble with my profile if you can be of any assistance I would greatly appreciate it.

example: NAME [BLANK]

Do you know why its like this? I have a save from my ps3 and resigned it to my profile on Brute force save data with the PARAM.SFO Editor. This is the tutorial I followed -

Is your Bruteforce showing an error where it is not using the correct profile(1) or are you using a save with a blank profile(2)?

(1) Uninstall and delete everything related to BSD and re-install everything, that is how i got it to work with my profile. Get a save that is not copy protected and transfer it to your pc. When BSD asks to find a profile to set to profile 1 locate it on you pc and select the file. This profile is now profile one.
(Also i have this weird problem where one install of BSD would only work with one Account/profile. Had to reinstall (in a separate folder/drive) if i wanted to re-sign for my friend.)

(2) Most games attached to blank profiles tend to work with any account without the need for re-signing. Have you tried not re-signing the save and just copying it to your ps3?

Edit: Saw that you have a CFW ps3 so i assume that it is unlikely the second point.

The video is teaching you how to re-sign manually, You can Decrypt PFD(All files)> Update account ID and copy params> Update PFD(Full)> Yes. I've only need to manually re-sign once and it was for a dark soul save.
